Privacy Policy
We respect the EU’s General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) and this policy explains how we collect and treat any information you give us. You won’t find any complicated legal terms or long passages of unreadable text. We’ve no desire to trick you into agreeing to something you might later regret.
Who we are
The Out in Business Club ("us", "we", or "our") of London Business School operates the EUROUT conference and www.euroutconference.org website (the "Website"). You can contact us at any time via the contact form on our website, or at oib@london.edu
Our values
We value your privacy as much as we do our own, so we’re committed to keeping your personal and business information safe. We won’t use your personal information for reasons other than why you gave it.
How we collect information
Cookies: We use cookies on the Website to help it to run effectively and provide the best user experience.
Ticket sales: When you purchase a ticket to EUROUT (including via any third party ticketing platform we use for such purposes), we ask you for certain required information (including but not limited to your name, email address and student status) and also certain other optional information (including but not limited to your gender identity and region of your primary nationality).
What do we use your information for?
Save as otherwise set out below: (i) the email address you provide for order processing will only be used by us to send you information and updates pertaining to your order and relevant EUROUT events or updates; and (ii) other information you provide when you purchase a ticket to EUROUT will be used by us to understand on an aggregated basis the demographics, diversity, backgrounds and interests of our EUROUT delegates so that we can ensure that the EUROUT conference continues to provide an experience that meets delegates’ expectations and attracts a diverse range of delegates.
Do we disclose any information to outside parties?
We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your personally identifiable information. This does not include trusted third parties who assist us in operating our website, conducting our business, or servicing you, so long as those parties agree to keep this information confidential. We may also release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect ours or others rights, property, or safety.
In limited circumstances, we may share or make available certain of the information you provide to us during the EUROUT registration process with some or all of our EUROUT sponsors. When this is the case, the information will only be shared if, as part of the process for purchasing a ticket to EUROUT, you have opted in to having it shared.
Information you provide to us when you purchase a ticket to EUROUT may also be aggregated by us with equivalent information provided by any or all other EUROUT delegates, in order to produce aggregated statistics and/or other aggregated information regarding the demographics, diversity, backgrounds and interests of our EUROUT delegates, which we may then use for the purposes of marketing EUROUT and/or seeking sponsorship for EUROUT. For the avoidance of doubt, any such aggregated statistics or other aggregated information for such marketing or sponsorship purposes would be prepared and used in a manner which did not personally identify you or disclose your personal information.
How can I access, update, correct or delete personal data?
You can request access to some of your personal data being stored by us. You can also ask us to correct, update or delete any personal data that we process about them by emailing oib@london.edu.
Data retention
We will retain your personal data for up to one year following the conference date. We use your information in order to share relevant updates, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
