The fund is named after the LBS staff member who founded the original LGBTQ+ network at LBS back in the 1990s, and who is still an active supporter of Out in Business.
Peter came out in 1974 as an undergraduate at the School of Oriental and African Studies and has been an activist ever since, across a range of LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS organisations. He co-founded the LGBTQ+ network at LBS in 1996, sponsored Out in Business and co-chaired PROUD@LBS, the School's LGBTQ+ and allies staff network. As Senior Admissions Manager for the Masters in Finance he championed outreach to LGBTQ+ candidates, the Reaching Out scholarship programme, and the option for applicants to self-identify. He retired in 2022 and sits on the EUROUT Advisory Board.
