Joseph Williams has spent almost two decades building and leading marketing and innovation teams, globally. He spent his early career helping organisations like News International, Twitter and the BBC navigate through the noise of digital. But after experiencing consistent barriers to opportunities because of his neurodiversity and lack of a degree, decided to take his skillset into recruitment.
Since then, Joseph has been campaigning and building technology to increase social mobility and equity of opportunity in the job market. He is most recently the Co-Founder and CEO of skills-based hiring platform, Clu; a company on a mission to make the working world work for everyone. He is also a Co-Founder of ParaPride, the LGBTQ disability charity, Co-Founder of the Access2Fundingcampaign and sits on the Advisory boards of Think Equal, The Mentoring Lab, Birkbeck Universityand is Kings College London’s inaugural Activist-in-Residence.
Joseph is a recognised thought leader in the recruitment and accessibility space, with a focus on the future of work, the skills-based economy and social mobility. He regularly presents data to think tanks, government and change leaders on the impacts and methods of democratic and equitable hiring practices.
