Tahoun is an Associate Professor at London Business School. Tahoun has been a research scholar at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and the Wharton School, a faculty member at the London School of Economics, a research fellow at the University of Valencia, and a banker at HSBC. His research focuses on important, current issues such as economic revolution and corporate revolution, analysing the consequences of the Egyptian Revolt, besides reciprocity between US politicians and the corporate world. He has explored corporate scandals and the development of global securities law over the past 200 years, and studied comparative international compensation packages. His current research agenda focuses on measuring firms’ exposure to political risk and on measuring firms’ exposure to disruptive technologies. The New York Times, the WSJ and the FT have covered his work. Tahoun has been the recipient of five consecutive grants from the prestigious Institute of New Economic Thinking. He is an associate editor of the Journal of Accounting Research. Tahoun was named as one of the Top 40 Professors under 40.
